When we started planning Taste Social, the brief wasn't 'restaurant with music' — it was 'a place where food and music are built by the same hands, at the same time'.
That meant the sound system got signed off before the second oven did. It meant every track played in the room is one Philip wrote, recorded and mixed specifically for how the space feels at 1pm on a Tuesday versus 11pm on a Friday.
It's a slower way to open a restaurant. It's also, we think, the only way this particular restaurant could have worked.
